Using the Same Workflow as for Developing Desktop Applications

As you know, to create a Windows Forms application on the desktop, you start by selecting New Project on the File menu. You create a new Smart Device project in the same way. After you expand the node that represents your managed language of choice (C# or Visual Basic), you see the Smart Device node, which includes a wealth of project templates. To create a Windows Forms GUI, choose the Device Application option under Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC, as shown in Figure 1-1 in Chapter 1. This dialog box will look familiar only if you've installed the Windows Mobile 5.0 software development kit (SDK) as explained in Chapter 1.
