Working with SharePoint

SharePoint is a new set of Web-based technologies from Microsoft that enables companies to create a central repository of many types of information that can be viewed and updated by authorized users. SharePoint Team Services runs on a Windows 2003 server and uses Microsoft SQL Server to store and manage the shared data. You can often tell how good a product is by looking at whether the company that built it actually uses it. Microsoft currently has more than 80,000 SharePoint sites set up for its own product teams, so SharePoint is an excellent product indeed.
