Starting Access

After you install Access on your computer, you can run it to create new databases or to work with existing databases. There are two easy ways to run Access—you can start it from the Start menu or by double-clicking a shortcut on your desktop. Regardless of the method you choose, you end up with the power of an Access database at your fingertips in the few seconds it takes your computer to start the program.

Start Access

  1. Click the Start button on the Taskbar.

  2. Click All Programs.

  3. Click Microsoft Office.
