Resolving Common Problem Scenarios

This section identifies scenarios in which problems might be identified, offers pointers and hints as to what the problems might be, and demonstrates how to continue diagnosing the problem for other issues. The primary root causes of problems for existing customers and beta testers have historically been the following:

  • Certificate configuration, deployment, or enrollment errors

    • Missing or incorrect parameters (such as Subject Name [SN] or Subject Alternate Name [SAN]) that make it so remote machines can't validate the certificate as being the authority for the DNS name by which the server is recognized
