Office Online is the name Microsoft uses for the limited versions of the Office apps that you can use online, with nothing more than a browser. Office Online is free for everyone. Even without an Office 365 subscription, you can use the Office Online apps to create, view, save, and print Office documents and then save them in a free (though limited) amount of OneDrive storage.
