No matter what you use your worksheets for, it’s important that you be able to easily extract meaning from the information and data they contain. Effective formatting is a must because it helps you find what you need at a glance and it makes your data stand out and be easily read.
Besides formatting, functions and formulas are the ways that take the data you’ve entered in your worksheet and perform calculations on it. You enter raw data, format it as you will, then tell Excel how to crunch the numbers.
