Formatting a Web Page Background
Any newly created blank Web page looks a little. . .blank. And although black text on a white background is certainly legible, and legibility is essential if you want to convey information using text, it is neither very attractive nor very exciting.
The simplest way of adding pizzazz to a Web page is to apply a background color. You can also associate the look of a page with the subject of the Web site by using a graphic as a background image. For example, you might choose to use your company logo as the background graphic of your business Web site.
