Creating a Frames Page
Instead of using tables to structure a Web page, you can designate that different parts of the page appear in different frames. When you lay out a page with frames, the end result looks very similar to a page laid out with tables, but the behind-the-scenes work is much more elaborate.
The concept behind frames is that you create a single shell page, sometimes called a frameset, which contains individual frames of information precisely positioned where you want them.
