EPM is much more than just the installation of technology tools such as Microsoft Office Project Server 2003, Microsoft Project Professional, Microsoft Outlook, and so on. Implementing EPM has an impact on your technology and the organization, so you need to plan for those impacts.
This section explains the principles of the six pillars of EPM so that you can plan for each in an organized way. Each of the pillars provides a convenient mechanism to address business processes and the relationship of business processes to Project Server 2003 technology.
Figure 4.1 shows the Project Web Access (PWA) user interface used as a reference within each of the six pillars.
