Using the Clean Up the Project Server Database Function

Occasionally, it may be necessary to create more space in the Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 database or to remove redundant or old information from users' Project Web Access views. Task assignments, task updates, projects, to-do lists, resources, and status reports can be removed on time-based or specific resource-based criteria. To perform database cleanup, use the Clean Up Project Server Database administration function.

Deleting Task Assignment Data

Perform the following steps to delete task assignment data:

Assignment data is permanently deleted from the MSP_Web_Tables. This operation does not delete the tasks from the MS Project schedule in Project Professional.
