In this chapter, you learned what is involved in migrating a Content Management Server 2002 Web site to SharePoint Server 2007. There are two steps in the migration process: content migration and code migration.

SharePoint Server 2007 addresses the content migration task by creating and executing migration profiles from within SharePoint’s Central Administration Web site. Prior to executing a migration profile job, administrators can run an analysis of the migration in an effort to identify any errors or warnings that might cause the migration process to fail.
