Using Hyperlinks

A hyperlink, often called a link or a jump, creates a connection to different parts of your document, to other Word documents, or to other types of files in an online document.

Link to an Item in Your Document

  1. Type or select the text you want to use as a hyperlink.

  2. On the Insert tab, click the Hyperlink button to display the Insert Hyperlink dialog box.
