4.7. Connecting Excel to the Internet with Web Queries
This section will illustrate one of the more glamorous abilities of Excel 2007, the capability to retrieve data from web sites from anywhere in the world using Excel's Web Query mechanism. When it comes to connecting Excel to external data, this is a feature that really brings a world of information into a familiar and powerful toolset.
Figure 4-43 shows how we start this process from the same External Data Connections menu that we've used for files, databases, and OLAP cubes. This time, however, we'll be guided through the Excel Web Query process, which is fairly flexible.
