Changing the Width of Columns

To make data fit more snugly in a table, sometimes it’s necessary to change the width of columns and make them narrower or wider. You can do that by dragging column borders.

The only way to change the height of rows is to enlarge the text in a table. OneNote makes each row tall enough to accommodate its tallest entry. By enlarging the text, you also enlarge the row height.

Change the Width of a Column

  1. Hover the pointer over the right-side border of the column whose width you want to change.

  2. When you see the two-headed arrow cursor, click and drag to the left (to narrow the column) or to the right (to widen it).
