Editing and Managing Links

To edit or otherwise manage a link, start by right-clicking it. On the shortcut menu are commands for doing these tasks:

  • Changing the link target: Choose Edit Link, and in the Link dialog box, change the address of the link (if the link is to a web page or file) or the location of a link (if the link is to another place in OneNote).

  • Rewriting a link: Choose Edit Link, and in the Link dialog box, rewrite the text in the Text to Display box.

  • Copying a link: Choose Copy Link. The link is copied to the Clipboard. You can paste it in a note.

  • Selecting a link: Choose Select Link. Selecting is helpful when you want to format the link. With the link selected, you can choose text formatting commands.

  • Removing a link: Choose Remove ...
