Working with the Media Web Part

The Media Web Part is a Silverlight-based Web part that can be added to SharePoint pages and page layouts for embedding videos directly into the page. The Web part includes configurable parameters, including video source, video dimensions, video skin (or theme), and video overlay image.

If publishing is enabled on your site, then by default an (digital) Asset library named Images is created and you can choose to upload videos to the Images library. Alternatively, you can create a new Asset library.
