Working with the Content Query Web Part (CQWP)
The CQWP is part of the content management feature set available in SharePoint Server 2010. Using the CQWP, you can aggregate, or roll up, content throughout a SharePoint Server 2010 site collection and display and present the aggregated content onto a single page, such as the home page of a site—without code! Typical uses of the CQWP include creating news archives and aggregating content based on the same content type into a single view for easy access.
