Settings You Must Address via the Web Interface

Although you can create new site content types in SharePoint Designer 2010, there are some content type configurations that you still need to address via the Web interface, including the following:

• Adding a workflow directly to a content type. In SharePoint Designer you can associate a workflow to a content type by creating a new reusable workflow, but you cannot add a new workflow in the content type settings page in SharePoint Designer like you can in the equivalent content type settings page in the Web interface.

• Assigning Information Management Policy settings to a content type (specific to SharePoint Server 2010).
