Advanced (Editing) Mode: Customized and Uncustomized Pages
When working with SharePoint pages, no doubt you’ll come across the terms customized and uncustomized. Default content pages in SharePoint 2010, such as Wiki pages, Web part pages, a team site’s default.aspx page, and list form pages, such as Allitems.aspx and EditForm.aspx, are derived from original templates (site definitions) located on the Web front-end server. When you open a page in SharePoint Designer in advanced mode, depending on the type of changes you make during editing, you risk customizing that page.
