By choosing to create a New (ASPX) Page from Master, a new ASPX page is created with the site’s master page. The advantage of choosing this option is that, rather than having to later attach a master page to the ASPX page, you instead immediately cloak the new page with the existing site look and feel, such as navigation and banner.
