Renaming Data Sources
You can rename data sources by accessing the data source properties. For example, to rename a database connection, locate the data source in the Data Sources tab and in the Data Source Properties dialog click the General tab. Be aware that changing the name of a data source might affect any current usage of the data source throughout sites and site collections.
You can rename lists and document libraries, also shown in the Data Sources tab, by accessing the relevant Settings page. Be aware that renaming a list or document library does not change the URL; it only changes the title. Changing the title usually does not affect any current related data connections.
