Creating a New XLV from Access

Now that you have seen how to create a view in SharePoint Designer, it’s time to create a new XLV complete with data so that you can more readily explore the rich set of editing tools and see how to apply various styles to an XLV. A great way to create a data-ready XLV is to create a new list from an existing populated Access database or Excel spreadsheet. Access is the preferred client for working with SharePoint list data because it enables you to maintain two-way synchronization between the source Access database and the SharePoint list.
