Single Sign-on with SharePoint Portal Server 2003

SharePoint Portal Server 2003 enables single sign-on capabilities using the Microsoft Single Sign-on Service (SSOSrv). Users only have to enter their names and passwords once, and SharePoint then stores the information to use for additional logons. This prevents users from having to sign on again when portal-based applications retrieve information from business applications, such as third-party enterprise resource planning and customer relations management (CRM) systems.
