Interacting with workflows
A workflow is a system that helps drive processes that require a chain of steps, along with tracking the status of these processes and their related events. A workflow provides visibility into what is happening with a process. SharePoint includes predefined workflows that help users get started with common processes. For example, an approval workflow routes a document for its approval. Approvers can approve or reject the document, reassign the approval task, or request changes to the document. When a document has an associated approval workflow, this workflow starts under certain conditions, or when a user creates or uploads a document.
