New Scalability and Performance Features

SQL Server provides some new scalability and performance features including indirect checkpoints and the FORCESCAN table hint.

Indirect checkpoints provide a mechanism for configuring checkpoint intervals at the individual database level. Indirect checkpoints can provide potentially faster, more predictable recovery times for your critical databases than automatic checkpoints.
