SQL Server provides some new scalability and performance features including indirect checkpoints and the
FORCESCAN table hint.
Indirect checkpoints provide a mechanism for configuring checkpoint intervals at the individual database level. Indirect checkpoints can provide potentially faster, more predictable recovery times for your critical databases than automatic checkpoints. FORCESCAN table hint complements the
