Unsupported and Partially Supported Functionality
This section covers the features and utilities that are not compatible with SQL Database. Some items in the list may surprise you (for example, the lack of SQLCLR support); others will simply make sense (such as the absence of filegroups), as they are more tailored toward traditional server infrastructure management and thus do not fit the database-as-a-service model.
You can refer to the following list (and the set of MSDN articles found after it in the “References” section) whenever you have a question about SQL Database feature support.
