Performing the Installation
You can install Reporting Services by using a setup wizard or by using a command-line executable. The installation process includes installation of prerequisites, installation of setup support files, and feature selection and configuration. You can install Reporting Services on the same server as other SQL Server components, as described in this chapter, or you can install it alone. If you install Reporting Services alone, the report server requires access to a SQL Server for hosting the report server database.
