Using Expressions for Dynamic Connections and Datasets
The data that displays in your reports will change, of course, as data is inserted into or deleted from your source database. But what if you need to change the actual source of the data at run time, or even the query string that executes to retrieve the data? All the reports in your project currently use a static data source and static datasets. The data source and the datasets remain the same no matter how many times you run each report and no matter who runs the report. You can use expressions to evaluate the connection string or the query string before processing the data for the report.
