Creating an Analysis Services Dataset
Before you can create an Analysis Services dataset, you must define a data source that stores the connection information for the Analysis Services server and database. Then, when you create the dataset, you provide an MDX query either by using a graphical interface to construct the query or by typing the MDX query directly into the query designer.
