Designing Parameters
Working with linked report parameters and query parameters when using an Analysis Services dataset is quite different from the procedures you followed in Chapter 6, to set up linked parameters for a relational dataset. If you use dimension members from the Analysis Services cube to populate a list of available values for a report parameter, the process to create and configure the report parameter is quite easy. You’re not limited to creating report parameters that are based on a cube, however. In this section, you learn how to work with both types of report parameters to filter a dataset and how to customize a query parameter linked to a report parameter.
