Chapter 34. Programming report server management

Any task that you can perform in Report Manager can also be done programmatically by using the Reporting Services API to communicate with the report server through a web service. For example, you might prefer to script repetitive tasks if you’re managing a native-mode report server. You can deploy reports, set properties, define security, and create schedules or subscriptions. Or you might use a custom application to check report server configuration settings.
