Chapter 12. Using Advanced Tabular Relationships

Tabular is capable of handling only basic forms of relationship between tables, that is, a simple relationship based on a single column, which has to be a key in the target table. However, in the real world there are more complex kinds of relationships. You might need to use more than one column to relate two tables, you might need to define a many-to-many relationship between two entities, or you might want to handle more complex scenarios such as banding.

In this chapter, you learn how to use the DAX programming language to model all these scenarios through a set of examples of increasing complexity, which guide you through the most commonly used kinds of complex relationships.
