Chapter 15. Security
On many business intelligence (BI) projects, you’ll find yourself working with some of the most valuable and sensitive data your organization possesses, so it’s no surprise that implementing some form of security is almost always a top priority when working with Analysis Services. Making sure that only certain people have access to the model is one thing; very often, you’ll need to make sure that certain people can see only some of the data and that different groups of users can see different slices of data. It’s fortunate that the Tabular model has some comprehensive features for securing the data in your tables, as you will see in this chapter.
