What’s New in Database Backup and Restore

The majority of the backup and restore features that existed in SQL Server 2005 still exist in SQL Server 2008. A few options, however, have been eliminated or deprecated. For example, the backup options used to truncate the transaction log in prior versions are no longer supported. Specifically, the NO_LOG and TRUNCATE_ONLY options have been eliminated.
