SQL Server 2008 provides integrated support for Windows PowerShell, a powerful scripting shell that enables administrators and developers to automate server administration and application deployment. The Windows PowerShell language supports more complex logic than Transact-SQL scripts, enabling SQL Server administrators to build more robust and complex administration scripts.
