Time for action – visualizing time-based information with a scatter chart
To use a scatter chart, need require to use more than one measure. In this example, we will use Order Quantity, Product Cost, and Gross Profit all together, to show in the scatter chart. We will also categorize data based on geographical group. Finally, we will add the time factor to see how these factors work against each other over different periods of time.
Let's see how to do it through the following steps:
- Open a new Power View report.
- In the Power View Fields, under Sales Territory, check Sales Territory Group.
- Under Internet Sales, choose Order Quantity.
- Under the switch visualization menu section, click on Other Charts, and then choose Scatter.
