Visual Administration Tools
A primary goal of SQL Server 2000 is to provide administrators with easy-to-use graphical administration tools. The ease with which someone can administer SQL Server 2000 is a testimony to the success of Microsoft's development efforts.
The following tools enable you to easily set up, administer, and interact with SQL Server.
SQL Server Service Manager
From the SQL Server Service Manager, you can start, stop, and pause SQL Server, SQL Server Agent, Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator, and Microsoft Search (see Figure 2.6).
