Optimizing Dimensions in a Cube
The Chapter10 warehouse database has the same general structure as those used in preceding chapters, but it is much larger. There are many more products, the time dimensions go to the day level rather than the month level, the state dimension is replaced by a much larger customer dimension, and there are more employees. Be aware that processing the Sales cube in this chapter—particularly the first time, before you apply any optimizations—might take several minutes.
