Tools and Utilities
Enhancements have been made to many of the SQL Server administration tools and utilities. The previous Enterprise Manager has been replaced with the SQL Server Management Studio, Query Analyzer replaced with Query Editor (part of SQL Server Management Studio), and the osql command line utility with sqlcmd. In addition, the new configuration utility called SQL Server Configuration Manager rolls three previous tools—Server Network Utility, Client Network Utility, and Service Manager—into one. Also, the previous Index Tuning Wizard has been replaced by the new Database Engine Tuning Advisor tool.
