Identifying Updates and Creating Software Update Groups

The appropriate updates for the environment need to be identified and added to the software update group. The software update group provides a simple method to add patches to a new or existing software update deployment and a way to report on the compliance for the patches on the software update group.

Software update groups were known as update lists in previous versions of Configuration Manager.
