OperationsManagerDW Database Backup
The OperationsManagerDW database contains all of the historical performance and other operational data from the Operations Manager environment. To be able to restore reporting functionality and long-term historical data in case of failure, it is critical that the OperationsManagerDW database be backed up.
However, the OperationsManagerDW database is very large and can take up a large space. This large size needs to be balanced against the need to back up on a regular basis. The OperationsManagerDW database should be backed up on a weekly basis. The recommendation is to do a full backup monthly and a differential backup weekly to reduce disk space requirements.
