Creating Notification Subscriptions

To bring it all together, subscriptions are used. These use the templates, channels, and the objects to deliver email messages.

In the example of the notification of network incidents, the requirement is for the message to be sent to the network engineer when a network incident is created. To target the notification, a new subscription needs to be created.

To create a notification subscription, execute the following steps:

1. Launch the Service Manager console.

2. Select the Administration space.

3. Select the Administration/Notifications/Subscriptions folder.

4. In the Tasks pane, click the Create Subscription link.

5. Click Next at the introduction screen.
