Best Practices
The following are best practices from this chapter:
• Although not required, the Orchestrator 2012 server should be joined to an Active Directory domain to gain the maximum benefit from the product in an AD environment.
• Other than Microsoft .NET v4, the remaining software prerequisites for Orchestrator are automatically installed as part of the Orchestrator installation.
• Install the 2008 R2 version of Microsoft SQL Server ahead of the Orchestrator installation to host the Orchestration database. Only the basic features of the Database Engine Service are required.
• Create an Orchestrator service account prior to Orchestrator installation, using a domain account to allow maximum flexibility.
