Logical networks represent an abstraction of the underlying physical network infrastructure and enable you to model the network based on business needs and connectivity properties. The Microsoft System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) documentation indicates that “A logical network is used to organize and simplify network assignments for hosts, virtual machines, and services.
