So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Setting up recovery tasks
System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager is a great monitoring tool for many reasons, among which is its ability to resolve problems when they arise. Through the use of automatic and on-demand tasks, you can greatly simplify the monitoring experience by automating the resolution of the most common and recurring issues in your infrastructure.
The SCOM features that enable you to diagnose issues and perform recoveries to remediate the issues are known as tasks. Tasks are contained in the SCOM management packs and can either be run automatically, or on demand. Other tasks can enable you to run administrative tasks from the Operations console.
