The TFS analysis services cube computes large datasets that enable users to answer questions about their software project. The TFS data warehouse empowers user to join up various datasets and understand trends in code churn, code coverage, builds, bugs, and so on. In this recipe, you'll learn how to connect Excel with TFS analysis services cube and analyze the code churn in the FabrikamTFVC project.
Getting ready
In order to connect TFS analysis services as a data source using Excel, you need your Windows account permissioned on the TFS data warehouse. Alternatively, use a Windows user name and password that already has access.
How to do it...
- Open Excel, in the DATA tab click on From Other Sources ...
