Appendix A. Look behind the curtain
Visio 2016 serves two distinct communities that sometimes overlap. On one hand, there are people who create diagrams by using just the tools in the standard user interface. The diagrams they create might be simple or sophisticated, but this group of people completes their diagrams without needing to look “behind the curtain.” The second group of people loves to push Visio beyond its off-the-shelf capabilities by exploring and modifying the ShapeSheet or by writing code to drive the behavior of Visio.
The purpose of this appendix is not to turn members of the first group into coders and ShapeSheet developers. However, you can accomplish so much more with Visio if you have just a little bit of extra knowledge. ...
