Data Binding with Web Controls
Although the general concepts remain the same, data-binding web-based controls is a slightly different game than in the Windows Forms or WPF world. The first obvious difference is that data sources for web forms are implemented by data-source controls in the System.Web.UI.WebControls
namespace; there is no concept of the Data Sources window with web applications. Because of this, instead of starting with a data source, you need to start with a data control and then work to attach that control to a data source.
