Creating a Basic Cordova App

One of the best ways to understand Cordova (or any new technology) is to walk through writing that first application to get moving with the basics. We are going to start with what should be familiar to web developers looking to do mobile: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery. We are aware that the current popular frameworks for Cordova applications are Ionic and AngularJS. We will walk through building an application on those, too. However, we start with these well-understood web technologies to ensure your first application feels comfortable. Note that we do not cover the details of web development because you can find those in Part V, “Building Web Applications.”
