Creating Your Own Host
I am not going to recommend an ASP.NET host provider in this book. There are many to choose from, and it needs to be your choice, based on some of the criteria I listed, which one is best for you.
You can simulate the process of using a host by setting up a Web server on your own computer. The instructions in this chapter are for Windows Vista Home edition, Windows Vista Business edition, or Window Vista Ultimate. These operating systems enable you to set up your own Web server and host a Web site from your computer. The Windows Vista built-in Web server is called Internet Information Server (IIS).
